Trusted Durham plumbers since 1947, Acme Plumbing Co. is a 4th generation family-owned business founded by W. Laurence Tilley, Sr. as S & T Plumbing. Renamed Acme Plumbing & Heating Company in 1952, it has served the Triangle area through four generations of the Tilley family. From its origins at the Tilley residence on North Duke Street, moving to Olympic Drive in 1952, then to 326 West Geer Street in 1964 after acquiring Paschall Brothers Plumbing, and later to 636 Foster Street in 1983, Acme added repair, replacement, and a designer showroom for kitchen and bath remodeling. In 2021, it relocated to 4625 Industry Lane to make way for GeerHouse apartments. Acme provides residential and commercial plumbing services, including maintenance, drain cleaning, sewer inspections, leak detection, and more maintenance agreement customers.
